Guyana is an English-speaking country on the north east coast of South America, between Venezuela, Brazil and Suriname. Most people live on the narrow coast, much of it below sea level and protected by a sea wall. Inland are rainforest, mountains, savannahs and some of the largest waterfalls in the world.[1][2]
