Privacy

GuyanaHub stores the account details you type: your name, email, and a password hash. Your date of birth is stored so the site can apply the age rules, and it is encrypted. People under 13 are refused, and no account is created.

If you post, comment, message a friend, or send a report, that text is stored with your account. A contact message stores the name, email, and message you type, so staff can read it.

Chat room messages are stored with your account and shown to signed-in adults. You cannot delete a chat message yourself. Staff can hide it, and hidden messages stay stored so staff can review reports.

A verification request stores your role, the phone number you give, and the evidence you type, so staff can check the listing.

OpenStreetMap rows in the phone book and on the map are map data, not accounts. Listings marked Example are sample listings, not real businesses.

GuyanaHub News stores headlines, source names, bylines, publish times, and outbound links. Feed descriptions, full articles, and publisher photos are not stored. "Most read" is an anonymous count of click-outs (item and hour only). No IP address, account, or extra cookie is stored for that count. Radio play totals are the same: station and hour only. The site is hosted in the United States.

The sign-in cookie is named guyanahub_session. It is limited to GuyanaHub hosts.

GuyanaHub does not sell personal information.
